When All Foundations Fall
There is no hatred living in my heart,
To forgive would be a rank stupidity,
For all the flaws of man are but my own,
Built slowly century by century.
I house the guilt of all the conscious world
And am replete with all its joys as well
The solution to the question dwells in me,
I am the maker of my heaven and hell.
The secret of the species soon to be
Breaking evolution’s heavy chains,
The great transition from the animal man
By surrender so deep that nothing dark remains,
Nothing of the DNA of death.
We are blessed to be alive in this new age
When all foundations fall and body learns
The secret of the poet-seer and sage
Changing as we live still unaware
The program of the body’s cells in those
Few souls who seek the all-transforming light,
And the doors of old experience close.
